But according to a recent food safety survey in Noida and Greater Noida, 83% of paneer samples failed quality checks. Even worse, 40% were found UNSAFE for consumption. And this isn’t some isolated lab test. These results came from over 2,700 inspections and 500+ raids. Here’s what they found in these fake paneer samples : - Starch : Used to bulk up paneer. It can cause bloating, indigestion, and offers almost no nutrition. - Synthetic milk + Detergents: Linked to vomiting, stomach cramps, and long-term organ damage. - Urea / Caustic soda : Highly toxic.
